Hygiene Items

We provide personal hygiene products to our patrons on a monthly basis. We distributed an average of 10,000 bags of these items per year. We are always in need of more: toilet paper, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors and shaving cream, and feminine hygiene items.

Since patrons can only receive this assistance once per month, we prefer to distribute regular or family sized items.

Clothing

We cannot accept clothing donations at this time. Please consider donating clothing to Goodwill Industries on behalf of St. Vincent de Paul Place. Through their Good Neighbor Program, we receive 15 cents per pound in the form of vouchers. We distribute vouchers to patrons who can choose to purchase anything from Goodwill.

In order to participate in the Good Neighbor Program, you must fill out a yellow Donation Form. You can pick one up at our front desk, at Goodwill Norwich, or we can mail one to you. Contact us at info@svdpp.org or (860) 889-7374 to request a form.

Household Items

We provide household items for patrons who have transitioned to permanent housing. Please call to confirm needs before donating.

Items we distribute include: kitchen items (dishes, pots/pans, sliverware), small appliances (coffee makers, toasters, microwaves), linens, and TVs.

Pet Food

Pets are extremely important to many of our patrons. We gladly accept donations of pet food and other pet care items.
