At St. Vincent de Paul Place, we offer a safe place to anyone in need. Whether a person spends five minutes or five hours with us, visitors can access a safe welcoming environment where their immediate needs are met. People are brought together to advocate and support each other to overcome barriers such as food insecurity, affordable housing, homelessness, access to medical care, and underemployment. Food Pantry: Help stock shelves, mark and put away donations, and give out food. Must be able to walk up and down stairs easily and be able to lift 20 lbs.

Receiving of Food: Help unload all donations and food deliveries, putting the donation items away in the appropriate areas. Must be able to walk easily up and down stairs and lift 30 lbs. Help needed Mondays 8:00-12:00.

Kitchen Help: Prepare breakfast and lunch; put in to-go containers. Help needed from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Front Desk: Help organize donations, answer telephone, stock hygiene products, and more.

Food Pantry, Apartment Room, and Hygiene Needs.

This past year, we distributed over 1.3 million pounds of food to 3000 unique households. We served 121,000 hot breakfasts and lunches, and 37,000 sandwiches.

We gave out just over 10,000 hygiene bags and 11,000 pet food bags since hygiene items like toilet paper, toothpaste, and pet food cannot be purchased with food stamps.

Food Pantry: We distribute dry and canned goods through our Food Pantry to patrons all year round.

Hygiene Products: We provide personal hygiene products to our patrons on a monthly basis. We are always in need of more: toilet paper, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors and shaving cream, and feminine hygiene items.

Household Items: We provide household items for patrons who have transitioned to permanent housing. Please call to confirm needs before donating. Items we distribute include: kitchen items (dishes, pots/pans, sliverware), small appliances (coffee makers, toasters, microwaves), linens, and TVs.

Pet Food: Pets are extremely important to many of our patrons. We gladly accept donations of pet food and other pet care items.
